Our INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY : Regasification unit saving energy and reducing CO2 emission through cooling capacity recovery from regasification of cryogenic liquefied gases, such as LO2, LN2 and LNG
WASTING ENERGY : Heat required for regasification is obtained from surroundings via existing temperature gradients, especially from air and seawater.
INITIAL SITUATION : Cooling capacity available with the regasicfication of liquefied gases, cooled down to -183°C and lower, remains untapped worldwide, although the global demand of cooling capacity is growing significantly and already is causing 17% of the total electrical final energy usage.
GREAT POTENTIAL TO SAVE ENERGY AND REDUCE CO2-EMISSIONS : • global annual sales LO2 = 16.4 Mt/a; LN2 = 3.1 Mt/a; LNG = 319 Mt/a• required heat input for regasification (heating upto 15°C) of these liquefied gases = available valuable cooling capacity
REGASIFICATION SYSTEM : Cooling agent applied to tube-in-tube heat exchanger PROCESS Evaporation of any cryogenic liquefied gases, subsequently gas superheating, innovatively combinedwith the recovery of cooling capacity. RESTRICTIONS
BENEFITS FROM USING THE RECOVERY SYSTEM : For the customers of gas traders • Opportunity of recovering that refrigeration capacity which was so far dissipated during regasification • New business field: cross sale of refrigeration capacity • Improves the company
